Roller Derby Queen Went Home

All's well after the Roller Derby Queen's surgery on Monday. She still can't drive for another week, but she insisted on going home today. I know it's easier to rest in your own bed, but I will miss having her here for me to take care of. I will be going to her apt. on a regular basis to check on her. She has a roommate so she won't be alone. She did real well during the surgery on her shoulder and the doc said it will almost be as good as new, but no roller derby for a few months! After the surgery on Monday she insisted we stop for a "Starbucks" and then she ate chicken strips when we got home, took a nap and then called her daddy to bring a popsicle home for her. He brought 8. I think someone has dad wrapped around her little finger. So now I can get back to my crafts!

Still working on my Blog!

Still have a few bugs to work out on this blog. Maybe one day I will get the hang of it! Just got finished getting my daughter's room ready for her visit. She is having surgery Monday on her shoulder. She is a member of the "Houston Roller Derby" league and got knocked down during a practice session and tore and stretched some tendons and ligaments in her right shoulder. Thank goodness it is outpatient and she really is a good "patient". She hopes to be back in her own apartment after her follow-up on Wednesday. That is if the Dr. says she can drive. It will be good to have her home again so I can take care of her! Until then I won't be able to do any crafting as her room is my craft room!

Finally started a Blog!

After much "encouragement" from my friend and partner in crime,I mean crafts, Kathy from Caloway Creations,I have decided to start a blog. Please be gentle with me as I learn the ropes. The first thing I am going to post is a vintage American Tourister round makeup case. I got the ballerina image from "The Gaphics Fairy" and I got the sheet music from the web. I then decoupaged the images onto the makeup case. I plan on making a chair with the same ballerina image. Will post other projects in the near future!
